Sarnilo is a singer, songwriter, rapper and poet. Her music is influenced by elements ofsoul and hip hop. Having a multicultural background, born from a Malawian motherand a Swati father her music is birthed from her paradox of identity.Born Ntando Dlamini in Eswatini, Sarnilo was introduced to music through reggae andhouse genres which is where she gets the bounce in her delivery. Having started writingmusic at the tender age of 10, Sarnilo soon developed a desire to write poetry,transcending to rap and eventually joining the school choir where she developedvocal control and the confidence she brings on stage.In 2019, Sarnilo joined the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition and went on to win at theSound Storm Finale. This announced her grand entry in the Swazi music landscape. Inthe same year, she performed at the MTN Bushfire festival which is arguably one ofAfrica’s biggest festivals. In a short space of time she has managed to collaboratewith Eswatini’s top artists such as Qibho Intelektual, Velemseni and Tlale Makhene.Sarnilo ended the year 2019 by opening for South Africa’s house hold name KhuliChana.A prospect in the making, 2020 looks like a year of great growth for Sarnilo havingjoined local award winning management company Antidote Music, and working onnew music preparing to take on the global market.
